Corrections Policy
Last updated: May 29, 2026
MoneyAbroadGuide is committed to accuracy in everything we publish. Financial information changes frequently — interest rates, account fees, tax rules, and banking regulations are updated regularly by institutions and governments. When we discover or are informed of an error, we act quickly and transparently.
Our Commitment to Accuracy
Every guide published on MoneyAbroadGuide is reviewed by our editorial team before publication. We cross-reference data against primary sources — bank websites, government publications (IRS, CRA, CFPB, FCAC), and regulatory filings. Despite these safeguards, errors can occur.
Types of Corrections We Make
- Factual errors: Incorrect rates, fees, limits, or regulatory information are corrected immediately upon discovery, with the correction noted at the top of the article.
- Outdated information: Financial products change frequently. When a rate, fee, or product offering changes significantly, we update the content and add a “Last reviewed” date.
- Typographical errors: Minor spelling or grammatical errors are corrected silently without a correction notice.
- Structural errors: Misleading headlines or article structures that could cause financial harm are corrected with a transparent notice explaining what changed and why.
How to Report an Error
If you believe any information on MoneyAbroadGuide is factually incorrect or outdated, we want to know. Please contact us at editorial@moneyabroadguide.com with:
- The URL of the page in question
- The specific information you believe is incorrect
- The source or evidence supporting the correction
We aim to respond to all correction requests within 3 business days and to publish any confirmed corrections within 5 business days of verification.
Correction Notices
When we make a substantive factual correction — one that could affect a reader’s financial decision — we add a clearly visible correction notice at the top of the affected article. The notice states what was corrected and when. We do not delete or obscure previous versions of articles to hide errors.
Editorial Independence
Corrections are handled by our editorial team independently of commercial considerations. Affiliate relationships, advertising revenue, and partner relationships have no influence on whether or how we correct content. See our Editorial Policy for details on how affiliate relationships are managed.
